PKO & LKO AppDynamics

Lead Brand Designer

PKO (Product Kick-off) and LKO (Leadership Kick-off) are annual department-specific internal conferences at AppDynamics. The conferences feature speakers from team leaders within their respective organizations, as well as team building, volunteering, and networking events.

As Lead Designer, I worked directly with the Event Planners and Creative Director to create two visual systems that are distinctive, but still sit well in a system together, and inline with AppDynamic’s overarching brand.

Belong@ AppDynamics

Lead Brand Designer

Belong@ is an umbrella of internal organizations at AppDynamics, each targeting specific minority groups to foster inclusion and representation within the company:

Women@ specifically supports women in tech and within the company. The organization often hosts events such as a speaker series that features women leaders in tech, as well as Ladies Who Power Lunch, a networking and conversational event.

Pride@ supports the LGBTQ community and plays a strong role during Pride Week at AppD, as well as throughout the year.

Unity@ is the diversity division of Belong@, supporting racial minorities, veterans, and employees with disabilities.

AppD Cares is the philanthropy arm within the organization that offers volunteering opportunities to employees, as well as company matches for contributions made to non-profit organizations, amongst other larger company-wide initiatives.

As Lead Designer, I worked directly with stakeholders and Creative Director to create a family of logos that highlight the individual properties of each organization, while still sitting together in a visual system inline with AppDynamics overall geometric brand identity.

Emi App

Lead Product DESIGNER & Brand Strategist

Emi is a start-up relationship enhancing app built for happy long-term couples that want to make their relationships even better. Emi’s purpose is to help make nurturing romantic relationships a daily practice, even in the midst of busy careers and co-parenting children.

When we kicked off this project, Emi was in a very initial phase, providing a prompted messaging service to users through SMS. I worked with cofounders Aya Takeuchi and Hiroki Hori to rebuild their brand, carve out brand values, and explore ways their service can expand into a native app that connects seamlessly with their existing SMS platform.

Rogers Retail Portal

UI DesignER

Rogers is Canada’s leading telecom corporation which provides cable, internet, and phone service to millions. For this Retail Portal redesign, I worked closely with an agile team of two UX Designers and one UI Director at design firm 17Seconds to create a robust elements library, which was then applied to the design of the site.

Featured below is the HUP (Hardware Upgrade) section of the site, which allows users to place orders for new phones, and tailor their wireless and data plans for these devices.

Nest Energy Partners

UI DesignER

Nest Energy Partners is a portal for energy providers to partner with Nest, in order to provide savings to customers with Nest thermostats. This portal is a desktop in-browser product which features dashboards to help these partners tailor and manage their savings programs.

For this project, I worked closely with a small team of a UX Designer and another UI Designer at design firm Sequence to apply Nest’s visual guidelines to the UI of this product.
